Farewell 2011

2011 was a new challenge for me, for our marriage. Every year since we got married, the "biggest" event of the year has been something positive.

2008 ~ We got married in April and then found out in October we were pregnant.

2009 ~ We welcomed Ryanne into the World in July.

2010 ~ We bought our first house.

However, 2011's most memorable event was most certainly Trey breaking his spine. What a roller coaster that was! We are so blessed that he has healed well, and is back at work. God also blessed us with the news that Drake will join us in 2012. I look forward to all that he has in store for us next year, and thank God for His protection during this past year and its' many trials.

On a more fun note, it is amazing to compare how much Ryanne has grown over the past year.

It's amazing how much a year can change things, and how quickly it can fly by. I can't wait to see what next year has in store. Hope you all have a very blessed new year!

Christmas 2011

We started off Christmas this year by opening family presents first. Ryanne got to open her presents from Mom and Dad and Trey's parents also came and we opened presents from them and they got to open our presents to them.
Later in the week, Santa came to visit and left Ryanne the rest of her presents. We also made stops at Trey's grandparents, my Dad's, my Mom's, and both of my grandma's houses. I always feel like we are on a carousel around the holidays, but we're thankful for all of our family.

Deck the Halls!

Some of my favorite blogs are doing a holiday tour of homes today, so I thought I would join in on the fun. This year has been kind of crazy between Trey getting hurt, and me being pregnant, our decor is kind of slim this year but I enjoy it anyway!
This little sign and several other knick knacks are scattered throughout the house.
Of course, you have to have some scentsy love in the Christmas decor!!

Our big Christmas tree

This jar is surrounded by a deco mesh wreath on my coffee table
This is just a little bit of the Christmas decor in my kitchen.

Of course, Ryanne has a little tree in her room!

This sign and some more of my save all deco mesh is on the bar.

This is more winter-y but it gets packed & unpacked with the Christmas decorations!

Ebates How-To

If you're not on ebates, you need to join. If you join from here, you can choose between a $10 Target, Home Depot, Barnes and Noble, or Magazines.com gift card right out of the gate. After you join, you get cash back at almost every website you make a purchase from. The only one I regularly purchase from that doesn't work with ebates is Amazon.

For example, right now Groupon is 6%, GAP, Zulily, & Old Navy is 7%, Sephora, J. Crew, & Barnes and Noble is 10%, Snapfish is 20%, and even Walmart has 5% cash back. These are just a few of the 1200 stores that they offer cash back on. You can choose to either have your cash deposited to your paypal account, or have a check mailed to you.

In order to get your savings, you simply start out shopping at the ebates website. You can search for the store you are looking for, for example Zulily, in the search bar in the upper right hand corner. Once you click the link, you'll see a window that looks like this:

Once your order is completed, you get whatever percentage of your purchase deposited to your account within a few days. I did lots of shopping on Friday, and the cash was in my account over the weekend.

You'll see credits in your account like this based on your purchases. So far I've earned $10 cash back on purchases I would've made anyway. How awesome is that? And obviously, it is more depending on how many purchases you make & how much you spend.

Checks are mailed/deposited 4 times yearly, given you have more than $5.01 in your account.
Also, several stores like Home Depot, Lowe's, Walmart, and Best Buy allow you to buy online & pick up in store. You can buy through ebates, get your cash back, & still pick it up in store so you don't have shipping charges. This is good, especially during Christmas season, to help you earn cash back on bigger purchases.

I hope this helps you understand how to use ebates & the advantages to shopping through ebates. If you have any questions, please feel free to email me!

Name Game

Baby Brother's name is . . . .

Drake James

Trey and I have both loved the name Drake for years, and James is the name of both of my grandfathers so we decided to honor them with his name.

And just for fun . . .
Big sister cheesing for the camera :)

She cooked Thanksgiving dinner for us ; )

And I'm so glad to have the Christmas tree up and decorated. It makes life happier in its own little way.

Today, we saw our sweet baby on ultrasound . . .

We saw sweet arms, fingers, toes, and legs.

Phone Fun!

Here are some of the pictures I've taken over the last week from my phone . . .

Trey and Ry were looking for "deers" and she had her bullet ready. Silly girl!

Riding the pony!

Trey's grandpa was riding her around. I'm so thankful she has him, but it makes me miss my grandpa even more sometimes.

We deep cleaned the living room last night, and when we moved the couch, this was the discovery of Ry's toys underneath it! Next time she's in charge of cleaning it. haha!
Feeding the horse

She was determined to use her straw, so this was her solution.

18 Weeks, Take 2

Baby Milestones: Baby is about 5.2 in long, and 5 oz. Baby's weight will almost double over the next three weeks, and baby will begin to form fat.

Weight Gain: I think I'm standing at a loss of 19 pounds total. I've gained 2 pounds now according to my scale, but it never matches what the doctor's says.

Clothes: I'm still wearing mostly normal clothes, but a few pair of my jeans are getting uncomfortable around my belly.

Gender: A week from today we'll know!

Movement: I can definitely feel the baby moving around now. When I'm still at night I love to just feel he or she wiggling around.

Sleep: I'm sleeping well still. I'm ready for the exhaustion to go away. Or maybe that's just a side effect of the toddler?

What I miss: Raw cookie dough. I know, bad, right? But I was making cookies earlier & really wanted to eat a big spoonful.

Cravings: Fruit, lots and lots of fruit.

Symptoms: My nausea has improved greatly, and I'm pretty much symptom free right now.

Best Moment this week: Ryanne kissing her baby "broder" She's convinced that I'm having a boy ; )

Pinspired: Nursery Edition

Hopefully in the next couple weeks we'll know whether we are having a boy or a girl, but in the meantime, I'm planning a nursery for both.

I love this vibrant rug, and just the colors in general.

I've admired this nursery ever since I first saw that episode. I love the letters around the top of the room. I'm not big into classic boy/girl nursery colors, but I do love all the fabrics in this room.

This is my twitter friend Ashley's little man's nursery and I just love the bold letters in his room!

I'm in love with this rug too. It's such a great print and good colors.

I think this is such a cute storage idea.

I love the color scheme in this room. The pom poms are so fun, and I love the idea of a colored crib for a girl.

I love this rustic barn door for a boy's nursery. It is such a fun element!

The stripes in this nursery are so bold. I love that idea.

I just love everything about this nursery!

I love this whole nursery, too!

I love this adorable monogram. I think Ry needs one in her room.

I could totally have 20 kids just to design their nurseries. Don't worry though, my uterus isn't that brave.
