Picky Eater Alert

I am the mother of all picky eaters both literally and figuratively. I don't eat lettuce, tomatoes, cucumbers, sushi, rice, wheat bread, . . .

Actually, let's start with what I do eat. That will be a much shorter list: beef, chicken, pork, macaroni, eggs, chocolate, fruit, and pretty much anything else unhealthy that doesn't involved vegetables or (most) grains.

You can imagine my surprise when my child came out loving all thing veggie, right?

Well, magically one day, she morphed into my child. And she now is more picky than I am. Is there such a thing??

Essentially, she gets her nutrients from Flinstones one-a-days.

She gets her calories from chicken breast (I cook these in bulk and then cut them up into serving sizes for lunch), spaghettios, string cheese, go-gurt, apples, bananas, macaroni, cheetohs, and apple juice.

That probably doesn't help those of you looking for suggestions much, does it? Well, welcome to my life. I had tons of suggestions. And they all got shot down.

I can probably rival your list of pickiness - I'm super picky. Luckily my husband is not. So far my kids aren't too picky as in they'll eat veggies (which I don't ha!) and my little guy would pick anything healthy over anything that might put weight on his tiny self. Except for this week since his ear infection he has barely ate anything and lost weight. :(

I thought I was the world's pickiest eater! I'm still willing to challenge you to the title. The only veggies I eat are lettuce, carrots, celery, and mushrooms. I won't eat any kind of melon. And if something has a weird texture (aka tomatoes), you may as well forget it. :)

I love your honesty!! I must say that being a picky parent helps a picky child in some ways...because you understand their aversions and can respect that! When I have a child in a feeding therapy session I do my best to put myself in their shoes and use my own dislikes and sensory avoidances to relate to them and that is exactly what you are able to do as a mom! I have a 'pickytots' blog www.pickytots.blogspot.com and just added a facebook page if you are interested!
