Organization Ideas

There was once a day when I was Ms. Organized. Every.single.thing had a home, and its home and a home, and everything had labels. But then I had a toddler, who likes to rip labels and take things out of their homes . . . which causes problems with the former.

However, there a still a few things that are organized in my life, so I'll share those ideas.

First off, I buy these from Wal-Mart. They're $1 each, and put notecards in them for labels. I keep them on the bookshelf in my office, in Ryanne's closet, and in our closet and bathroom with miscellaneous small stuff that gets lost easily in them. With the labels, its easy to find things when I need them.
Trey's grandpa built this cabinet for us to go under our washer and dryer, and I love it. I can put laundry baskets under it to hide laundry, and it has room to store laundry detergent and other stuff.

I also have this rolling cabinet with all of our cleaning supplies on it in the laundry room. When I'm cleaning, I can roll it around the house so all of the stuff is within arm's reach and otherwise it stays put up in the laundry room with our laundry stuff on it, too.
These coat racks were the best idea ever. We hang everything from purses to coats to diaper bags on it, and it helps reduce that type of clutter from the rest of the house. I think they were about $10 each at Lowe's and worth every penny.

I also have these baskets from Target throughout the house with Ryanne's toys in it. We built our house as a small investment while I finished school, and it is short on storage space. In our next house, storage will be meticulously and elaborately planned! I don't deal well with clutter at all, so everything needs a home.

And just for kicks and giggles . . . this is home to my tupperware and pitchers. I don't really have a "good" location for them, and this is one of those tiny skinny worthless cabinets that has no better use. Aren't those organizing skills amazing? Be jealous. haha!

I can't wait to see everyone else's organizing ideas to hopefully use now and keep in the file cabinet of my brain for that next meticulously planned house I mentioned? I might or might not be already looking at floor plans for our next house even though I know it will be at least two years away. I need some closet organization tips big time to put to use on my shoe collection.
